World Family makes the world’s finest English language learning programs for children – all based on principles of natural language acquisition embodied in our proprietary World Family Method. With the support of The Walt Disney Company, our long-time business partner, we developed and introduced our flagship product, Disney World of English, 48 years ago. And since that time, we’ve invested more than 100 million US dollars to expand and enhance Disney World of English and supporting and companion products and services. With Disney World of English and our unique Play Along! program for 0 to 2-year-olds and World Family Club services for learners of all ages, we provide the complete English language learning solution for every child. Below are some of the unique and compelling features and values of our Company, our products and services, and our World Family Method:   

We are constantly innovating.
Technology and consumer tastes, preferences, and needs continually change and evolve.  World Family innovates continuously to always remain relevant to our customers and to deliver the best possible English language fluency outcomes. We leverage evolving platforms and technologies, and we invest substantial sums in continuous product and service innovation. Recent initiatives include completely digitalized versions of our entire product line and the addition of Video English Services (VES) to providing children in Asia with opportunities to engage in remote learning sessions with native-speaking teachers in the United States and to interact with other children across our multiple markets.  Our learners can benefit from individualized VES sessions, VES sessions with multiple learners in the same country or territory, and, for unique and authentic cross-cultural experiences, VES sessions with multiple learners in multiple countries and territories.  VES compliments the hundreds of in-person events and activities we continually provide throughout our markets.      

We have a long and successful partnership with The Walt Disney Company.
Our relationship with The Walt Disney Company dates to 1976, and we have long been the largest licensing partner of Disney Publishing Worldwide in paid royalties. We developed Disney World of English around Disney’s wholesome characters, animation, and other content, all carefully selected by our expert American linguists and developers to support effective and engaging language acquisition.  

Our Play Along! program, Disney World of English, and World Family Club services provide a complete learning system for every child.
Learning a language requires many thousands of hours of meaningful language exposure and interaction (both input and output) to reach a reasonable degree of fluency. Our World Family Method provides this through natural and authentic language input that is carefully structured and presented in proper context for learners to easily comprehend and naturally acquire English, and through many product-based and service-based output opportunities.

We provide learners with choice and autonomy. 
Learners have different preferences and learning styles. World Family gives learners choice, reducing stress, building self-confidence, and providing motivation. Play Along! and Disney World of English feature a wide range of interactive learning tools, platforms and components to accommodate all types of learners. They promote iterative input from varied components and media platforms – ideal for autonomous and flexible learning. 

We support a multi-year learning experience.
There are age-appropriate activities at every level of our programs. As children grow, their abilities and interests change. Our Play Along! and Disney World of English programs grow with the child, and our World Family Club provides continual product and service benefits over an extended period to foster successful language acquisition, retention, and deepening fluency. 

We deliver proven effectiveness and economic value. 
English language schools and classes do not provide adequate language input to promote genuine fluency outcomes. In contrast to Play Along! and Disney World of English, classes deliver comparatively low value for a relatively higher price. Measured over time, the World Family Method is superior in value and is more cost-effective – thanks to our extensive, well-structured, and high-quality input sources and output opportunities. We provide nearly unlimited language learning experiences for children.  

We nurture cognitive development.
Play Along! and Disney World of English evolve with the child, providing linguistic development and nurturing cognitive and developmental growth. Play Along! provides a developmental and language acquisition bridge to Disney World of English. It focuses on the cognitive and linguistic development of infants and toddlers before moving on to the varied and expansive learning content, elements, and platforms contained in Disney World of English.

The home-based, immersive nature of the World Family learning ecosystem is safe, comfortable, and effective. We produce fluent English speakers, but we also foster family values, helping to nurture better people in a wholesome, home-based environment.  

We build confidence and support whole-child development.
As we inspire children to feel comfortable speaking the English they learn through our products and services, we also teach and share key social-emotional learning themes. These themes include self-confidence, tolerance, accepting and understanding differences in others, friendship, sharing, stewardship, and what it means to be part of one world family. We have shared these themes across the globe for five decades.
